These programs focus on helping people, especially young people, in Ng’iya live healthier and happier lives.
Mental Wellness Support Sessions: These are special meetings where people can talk about their feelings and get help with stress, sadness, or other emotional challenges. It’s like having a safe space to share worries and learn ways to feel better inside.
Sexual Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR): This program teaches young people about their bodies, safe sex, and how to make healthy choices about their sexual and reproductive lives. It’s about giving them the knowledge and confidence to protect themselves and understand their rights.
Dignity Restoration Project for Girls and Boys: This project helps make sure girls and boys have basic necessities that allow them to attend school and participate in daily life with confidence.
- For girls, this means providing sanitary towels (pads) so they don’t miss school during their periods.
- For boys, it involves providing boxers (underwear), which helps with hygiene and comfort. This support helps restore their dignity, making them feel more comfortable and respected.
Teen Mothers Return to School Engagement and Advocacy: This initiative works to help young mothers go back to school after having a baby. It involves encouraging them, providing support, and also speaking up (advocacy) to remove any barriers that might stop them from continuing their education. It’s about giving them a second chance to learn and build a better future.
